Saint Croix State Park

Kettle River

Day Trip - 2021-05-22

This was a short day trip on a warm and muggy Saturday afternoon. This was my first time visiting St. Croix State Park, and I only got to explore a little piece, so there is more for a return trip! I climbed the fire tower which offers an awesome view over Minnesota’s largest state park at 34,000 acres plus. This would also be an awesome park to explore from the water, there are tons of landing points and water camp sites along both the Kettle and Saint Croix rivers.

Tick season is definitely upon us, I pulled 8 off my legs during the hike today, so keep an eye out for them!

A short update today, but more to come soon!

Hike on!
